garphics card for plasma tv use

last week i bought a wee pc system from aria, a Fujitsu Esprimo E5915 SF which has a dvi-d low profile graphics card as standard.

i obtained a dvi-d to hdmi cable and connected it to my panasonic tx-p42s30b plasma tv.

i was hoping that i would be able to view videos on the hdd and dvd's, etc on my plasma.

instead there was no sound at all and the pc page that was displyed was too large for the plasma screen. i could not see all of the icons and the start button or taskbar.

any suggestions most welcome.

DVI does not carry sound, only HDMI does that. Try messing around with the resolution on the computer to start off with so that it matches your TV

Check if you TV has an overscan option - it can make PC inputs slightly overlap the screen - turn it off if its on.
