Strange Catalyst Control Center problem

Been using an ATI Radeon HD4550 card with Vista 64 for some time with no problems and a couple of weeks ago I changed over to Windows 7 64 and installed the latest Catalyst Control Center (10.2). As before, I have a pc monitor connected via dvi and av receiver/plasma via hdmi.

The problem I'm having is I can only get a picture on my plasma if I take the pc monitor cable out of the card and vice versa. If both are plugged in at the same time, it sort of goes into an extended desktop mode. The "extra" bit with no icons is displayed on my pc monitor but on my plasma, where the main desktop would be is just blank as if it's not connected.

Because I'm not able to have both plugged in at the same time, I can't change the options to select how I want my desktop displayed. It was ok the very first time I used it but have no idea what changed.

It's not the worst problem to have as it's actually quicker to change a cable than when I used to have to open the Control Center up to switch displays. But I don't like the idea of keep plugging/unplugging the cables.

Couldn't find any info for this on here, so does anyone have any idea how I could sort it? I've tried rebooting with both connected & turned on etc but still the same. I'd prefer not to have to mess about with installing a previous CCC if possible.

Can you go into Control Panel / Display and select Duplicate Monitors?

No, as when both monitors are on I can't view anything. It's on the plasma screen, which is blank.
