GTDC - GTR EVO Racing

I'm looking to maybe host a few online races and TT's using this latest PC racing title. I know most of us are spent with GT5P, but with plenty of people still here posting and discussing cockpits, wheels and general PC racing, I'd thought it might be possible to run some short races. Obviously we have a wealth of other PC racing titles to try such as rFactor, GTR2 and GT Legends, but I'd like to try this version as I've not used it much since getting it last year.

If it transpires that more people have rFactor or other titles, we could consider those instead

Online races - Closed AVF Races, maybe 1 evening a week
TT - racing as individuals with 1 car, 1 track over a 2 week period.

Please post feedback and we can discuss over the next few days what people might like to do

Re: GTDC - GTR EVO Racing

Count me in - I currently prefer rFactor and the Historix mod (best FFB imo via realfeel) but happy to try GTR EVO. rFactor and Historix mod requires the GTL disc to install whereas GTR EVO - GTL mod can be installed without the GTL disc - but people obviously need GTR EVO which has to be bought as opposed to rFacor lite which is a free d/l.

We could obviously use just stock GTR EVO cars to keep it simple - WTCC - Caterhams or Radicals ?

The Touring Car Legends mod for rFactor is also very good too.

Cheers

i think thats the key to this taking off esp. in the early days. it's hard enough synching everyone on GT5P nevermind several PC games all with their various mods.

I like the sound of Radicals on brands hatch, just like we did on Race Pro

Re: GTDC - GTR EVO Racing

I am good for this once I get a wheel (slated to arrive late this month). Standard GTR Evo tracks and cars will simplify things.

Re: GTDC - GTR EVO Racing

Good to see it generating some interest. I also want to keep things simple, I may post a TT challenge starting this weekend and running for a week only. I've always liked Brands Hatch, so it'll be either GP or Indy circuit with either Mini's, Radicals or Caterhams. Pro Settings only.

Is there much difference between the 3 versions of Caterhams and the Radicals versions?

I'd love to have an online race with Minis and the Indy circuit at Brands, nice close racing me feels

Huge difference between the Caterhams! I find the slow one great for learning circuits as you tend not to get yourself into too much trouble

Mini's on the Indy circuit sounds like huge fun.

Re: GTDC - GTR EVO Racing

Hi

I'd be interested in some online racing but I can't run GTR EVO very well on my PC, I can run Rfactor and GT Legends fine though.

This may change soon though as I'm planning to upgrade, then GTR EVO is on.

Maybe you should post this over on the PC section too.
