Fanatec Orders & Tester Or Community Support Agents?

Guys just a quick question to ask if any of you have applied for a "Tester" or "Support" agent positions with Fanatec?

Im quite intrigueed with the idea.
Wanted to know if anyone here within AVF or on other popular UK sites was one, Know of someone guys?

While on the topic of Fanatec seems the GT3RS wheels will be shipped soon and should arrive by the end of the month. Amazing that the first batch of £275 Clubsport wheel/pedals has sold without a single preview/review but goes to show the support in the industry for the brand.

How many here have ordered?

You will be lucky to get one by the end of the month i know somebody who pre-ordered months ago they have the shifter but are still waiting for the pedals and wheel.

I actually went to place an order last but was put offf by the 2 month waiting list if your lucky! but apparntly you can go intyo any Porsche dealership and place an order through them, as fanatac like to keep things close to their chest.

I ended up buying a G25 to see me through until the GT3 wheel is widely available and remember you can use the clubsport pedals with a G25 which IMO going from my MOMO is way too skinny.

Re: Fanatec Orders & Tester Or Community Support Agents?

Yep - I`ve blown it really - ordered the Porsche Turbo S - pure - ie the wheel only plus dongle to use with Xbox - due for delivery in July I was then going to order the GT3RS clubsport given that it is £280 for that and around £200 for the pedals alone. I would then either keep the GT3RS wheel or sell it on. I intended to order the GT3RS and pedals for April delivery and use that until the Turbo S wheel arrives.

I may now try to switch the whole order over to a GT3RS Clubsport given the next batch are due in June and not bother with the Xbox compatibility with the Turbo S.

Just missed the last batch of GT3RS & clubsports - was hoping to see a proper review or read some user reports before ordering.

I`ll be interested to read your views BR when you get it

Cheers

Re: Fanatec Orders & Tester Or Community Support Agents?

Yeah the delivery does suck but this is a smallish company and Porsche want to ensure the quality for their licensed products is to a high standard.
The Turbo S is limited production as well.

I was lucky enough to order from the first batch and have confirmation of delivery from the first batch, tbh i even expect another delay and for me im happy enough if it comes as late as early May.

It seems that first batch buyers are getting these even before community testers. Although such testers are used to help promote the products and give feedback for further advances in improving them or on upcoming future products they do not do the initial pre production testing which is done in house.

Does anyone know of any official "Fanatec Tester" within UK forums?

Thomas has updated his blog:
Yippee!!! GT3RS On Their Way

The first shipment has finally left China and is on the way to Europe.
This menas that there is another small delay as the products will arrive in Europe in early May and will be send out to customers immediatly.
The US shipment will be sent next week but shipment to US is one week shorter so that both territories will get it at the same time.
We had to rework the CSP as we were not 100% satisfied with the quality of one component but now everything is fine and you can be sure to get a perfect product.

As you know I have a Turbo S on order and intend to order the ClubSport pedals but might as well order the GT3RS package for the extra £80. The other option is to cancel the Turbo S and swap the order to a GT3RS and CS pedals. Would have got the Turbo S with the CS pedals but you don`t really save anything on the package unlike the GT3RS.

If the CS pedals are as good as they look then I`ll need to decide how to order them.

Cheers

I think if you have the money, order and pay for a CS GT3RS package.

When the wheel arrives, decide if you want to keep it or sell it on.
With the £80 saving on the pedals you will easily sell the GT3RS wheel at the retail or even more as someone will pay extra and not wanting to wait a couple of months on production of a new order. They will eventually get production up and i can see the delays becoming much shorter for stock availability.

I just hope the wheel when it arrives isnt too light grey coloured.
Personally i dont like that with the orange so I hope its more of a dark grey than a light grey.
