Re: GT-DC Partner TT Event - ROUND 2

The more I think about this, the more I'd prefer to run it as an individudal event, we'll see what response we get, but knowing how long and awkward it became getting balanced partnerships, solo might be the way to go

Re: GT-DC Partner TT Event - ROUND 2

Solo is fine for me. Even though by now we have a good idea how the leaderboard is going to stack up, there's still fun to be had trying for that 'perfect' lap we *think* we're capable of

Good choice of cars Dave btw

one car and one car......

Re: GT-DC SOLO TT Event

EVENT CHANGED, THIS IS NOW A SOLO EVENT

This will work better due to the short time scale, also helps with those more committed and have more spare time and those who might not be getting Killzone 2

I will still run an individual leaderboard for both cars aswell.

Has this just changed? or is it my eyes I'll see if I can have a go but not sure about how much time I'll have to try 2 cars out.

Re: GT-DC SOLO TT Event

I would love to be in this but i know being a solo one my times will always be 2-3 seconds behind the top guys. I would like some handicapping rule based on our times for the team TT to make it a much fairer contest. Maybe tyre handicap or something. Not sure how much the time difference would be by using a lesser tyre ?

Hiya, I dont think that would really work, Would end up being unfair to the top guys, I dont race with a target of beating the likes of Craig/edge/Robot, I just try to get the best time I can hoping i can keep improving, usually sitting within a sec of the group of guys i usually am close to,the buzz i get is just from takin part. if i improve which i generally have done since i started a few months back great if I dont so be it i still enjoy trying. I,m sure if you just keep to the same philosophy you will enjoy It just as much ,and when you do start to catch up as i,m sure you will ,it will give you all the more satisfaction. Cheers Mike

The GTLM will separate the men from the boys.

Took me ages to even complete a clean lap

And whats with the gearing on the nissan, awful for the track.

Re: GT-DC SOLO TT Event

Sorry about the Nissan Nick, didn't try it before it was selected I thought after the short run on London, it might be okay for Suzuka.

The Ford should keep most people taxed for a few days I guess. I've also noticed that the GTRP boys are using the Ford on Suzuka East at the moment. I've had a quick look on their site but can't find the thread relating to their TT competition. They've already posted 4/5 good times in the last 2 days.

Will be back next week to update the leaderboard and have a go at these combinations

Re: GT-DC SOLO TT Event

Nothing wrong with using the nissan dave, i'm just moaning about the gearing, doesnt make it less fun.

Noticed a lot of germans on the leaderboard last night, makes sense now.

will be good to see how we all stack up against them. not going to be easy though. i've never 'understood' how to drive the ford GT's in this game and find them a handful.
