why all the delays,thinking of selling the ps3 now and getting xbox,so i can get forza 3.

think its disgusting,its been put off a number of times now.

I think you got the release date wrong, its not March 2010, its March 2011..

Yeah totally agree with you, PS3 is gathering dust atm, I just got Wipeout HD and what a load of crap it is..
PS3 exclusive you can bite my shinny metal ass...
I won't sell my PS3, got it for free with my Panel, its a trophy, just so I can say I have both systems...

I'd sell your PS3, there is no games at all and Polyphony have come out with so many different dates for GT5 that its not even funny

Its out when its ready to be out. I'm not making it, it don't have the skills to make it. I don't know what they are planning for it. If its crap when it comes out, then everyone can moan and bitch. In the mean time no one knows what the game will be like. It could actually justify the length of development.

To call a delay disgusting i think is a it much

New info, I just heard GT5 has been released, not cheap, about 200 quid...
Its an Xbox 360 elite and Forza 3...

Show me one single official Polyphony Digital announcement made to the public for the release date of GT5.

It isn't delayed as they have never given us a release date.

Should they have released it earlier and then given us extra features as dlc?

Imo yes but we all know it will sell by the bucketload whenever they release it so if they prefer to wait until they are fully happy with the product before launch then there is not a lot we can do about it.

I recently bought an xbox 360 and I have FM3 and its very good, but I know that I will also be buying GT5 when it comes out.

I saw a board outside HMV today, with all the coming soon in store details.

It had Gran Turismo release date 4th December 2009 which puzzled, as i thought it was spring 2010????

The store was far too busy, to ask someone about it.. Anyone else spot this?

It has been rumored everywhere slated as an Xmas release, I will not be holding my breath.
Surely if large retailers are advertising, there must be some leaked information??
So who is to blame?
I would think wrongly informing the public, that some sort of ramification would ensue...
If anyone has any Idea about what the release date is, please enlighten me, once again the information will be worthless as we are chasing our own tails here..

The game has lost momentum for a lot of loyal followers, yes the game will sell bucket loads, but will it really be worth it?

You're quite right there. It's similar to Sony's disastrous PS3 launch which got so delayed it meant so many PS2 owners getting fed up of waiting and getting a 360 instead.

For me though, I didn't buy a PS3 just for GT5, although it was 1 reason. So I wouldn't even consider selling my PS3 even if they said GT5 won't ever be released.

I got mine for free, that was the clincher on the panel I got 18 months ago, I was thinking of buying 1, luckily enough I did not..
The machine has let me down some what..
Exclusive what??
My friend bought 1, he uses it more for Blus that anything else.. he could have just bought a BR player and saved some $..
Each to their own..
I am an avid GT fan, I have been left some stale taste of over marketing..

That's fair enough. It is abit of a farce now really how long it's taking - and if you've already got a 360, and only keeping the PS3 for GT5 only for it to be a let down, then I would do the same.

Once I obtain hardware, I keep it..
Too many consoles I have atm, but I likes em, so why not..
I will never sell, just an off the wall comment, and who knows, there might be something just around the corner..

What GT marketing have you seen to be dissapointed about?

People can complain as much as they want about GT5 'delays', but i bet those complaining the loudest will be the first in the queue in many cases. Everyone should just move on, play somethings else, FM3 eg, and get GT5 if they want went it is out.

My PS3 isn't going anywhere, but I was tempted by the 360 deals in shops at the weekend.

The only thing stopping me is how good GT5P is with the driving force GT wheel. I've heard bad things about the MS wheel, although apparantly Forza 3 is very good with it. I just don't think I can get away with TWO steering wheels in the house, so I'll just suck it up and try and be patient.

Hey that MS wheel is brilliant and well worth the little that you pay for it, but I hear you, I will stick with controllers for the time being as 2 wheels is a bit much.
Have an old Logitech PS3 compatible, no where to put it, G25 would be nice, but where oh where oh where...

If HMV choose to market GT5 as releasing that is up to them, they'll have to deal with dissapointed customers. Do you not think they are just trying to get pre orders in, from customers that aren't well informed, so they can mark down that potential revenue. They all do it. It doesn't mean Sony or PD are marketing the game though.

More exclusives? None of them may interest you, but they are still a few of the exclusives.

I did'nt release until last week that GT5 uses a completley new engine so i can kind of accept the five year build time. The Orignal GT took 5 years to build from scratch aswell.

Like everyone else i am dissapointed and anoyed thats its taking so long but i can accept it now, aslong as it sticks to March.

For something to be delayed it needs to have a release date, the dates you are reffering to are place holders made up by retailers, nothing official.

In regards to the comment I made about your "super high expectations", let me clear that up for you. You state that the PS3 has no quality exclusives but I can name you at least 5 universally acclaimed games that you can find on the system. Now if none of them are up to your standards then you must be a pretty hard person to please.

Also don't get me wrong I'm as disappointed as the next person about how long this game has been in development but if you've been following Gran Turismo from day one you should know that Kazunori Yamauchi is a perfectionist and unlike you I can find games on both the PS3 and 360 to keep me occupied.

You are right, none do, I own MGS, good game, not brilliant, and over hyped.
WipeOut HD, same again, playing now and its growing slowly on me.

Thats your opinion, but in general many of those games have been widely praised. But if they don't float your boat thats your opinion/problem, not the systems. Unless of course you want to get in contact with Sony for them to make you an exclusive tailored to you. Then your PS3 would be worth having. In the mean time, in general, everyone else is pretty darn happy with the exclusives on offer. Not to mention the multi plat titles.
