Can get G25 to work in GT5P

I have just put my G25 on my ironing board and had a bash at GT5.. And whilst most of the controls work, the steering wheel does nothing.

There is no feedback, and the wheel does not control the steering.. however, the buttons DO work.

I have searched and read all the idiot guides, but I can't work out what I am doing wrong.

Anyone?

What wheel did u select in the settings? think it's meant to be the far left one (Driving Force GT) Should work if set to that one.

here's a pic of the the button layout of the G25 which was posted in another thread.

Not yet tried mine.

Re: Can get G25 to work in GT5P

Ummm.. I have a confession to make.. Ironic that I used the word "Idiot" as thats what I am.

I was wondering why the power light on the gearstick was so dim... But since it was lit, I figured it had power.. And then I realised, whilst I had rummaged around my TV and found a spare socket for the plug, I hadn't actually plugged in the wheel.

I am suitably embarrassed, so lets close this thread

Re: Can get G25 to work in GT5P

I am impressed, but its impossible to use with my current "ironing board" configuration.. I can't mount the gear stick and its in the wrong position for me.

The only thing I am not keen on is the 'slap' in the middle.. If you wobble the wheel when going traight, it seems to bounce left/right off the force feedback mechanism.

But I havn't given it enough time yet.. But I have to admit that in the few laps that I ran on GT5P, it felt really natural.

Amazed you even admitted that about the plug - but glad it was something so simple!!

Invest in the wheel stand pro - see the other thread - you wont be disappointed!

I could have made an excuse.. I thought about saying that I changed the USB ports and it works (basically lying) but I figured that it was better to fess up!!

WSP is on the way.. And I can't wait.. I have used the G25 for about 10 mins (loosely attached to my ironing board) and I can see its got potential, buts its not a great experience in this configuration.

WSP should be here on Monday (Assuming it doesn't get held up in customs)
