Help req - please could you vote for...

..... My Daughter, it's really quick to do! She's taking part in a local modelling competition and it would mean a lot to her to do well in it. I think she's got a good chance already, but her Mum has been sat refreshing the voting results and fretting because she's dropped down a few positions! Please could you paste the following link into a new browser window (to stop all the votes being tagged as coming from this site)

North West Evening Mail | Home | Model comp | Barrow modelling competition - round two

and vote for number 23 on the right hand side, Amy Meehan. It'd be very much appreciated, and if she makes it big and earns loads of money, I'll make sure she pays some to all of you who vote. Maybe.

The main reason I'm asking is because the girl who is currently leading, (no 11, Annalise Kell, niece of competition organiser Dawn Kell, draw your own conclusions) went up in the voting about 10% overnight, she must have had some help to do this, so I'm just trying to get my daughter a bit of help too!

If you can take the time to do this, it'd be very, very much appreciated.

Is this fair to the other girls though who are no doubt expecting every single vote to be cast fairly and squarely ?

Every voting thing like this is not won by the reason it should, they're all popularity contests and promotion of voting.

Re: Help req - please could you vote for...

Is there something suspect about the outright leader sharing the same surname as that in the competition itself?

Iccz is right, the girls were all given posters that they could put up in shops etc, so I don't really see anything wrong with asking for votes on here. Like I said, the girl in the lead at the moment, number 11 Annalise Kell, got something like 12 or 13% of the votes, just over the last few days, when she was quite a bit behind, so she obviously used some similar methods to get extra votes.

The girl leading is the niece of the competiton organiser. Not sure if it's anything suspicious or whether she's just been very actively touting for votes.

bosque, I made a vague insinuation in my original post that if she makes it big, I'll (probably) remember all your votes and make sure that she thanks you financially

Thanks all who've voted, and any more who want to vote are very welcome to
