| Re: Issuing Refunds in PayPal
You could open an official dispute with PayPal, it seems to heavily favour the buyer.
I am currently in the process of getting screwed by a buyer and Paypal;
I sold an item on eBay. The day the buyer received it, he emailed me telling it was faulty, but being slightly vauge about it and refusing to accept any advice from me. I accepted that it could posibily faulty, although i sold it in good faith, and in my second email i asked the buyer to post it back and promised if it was faulty i would refund them. The buyer then demanded a refund striaght away and refused to send it back until i refunded him. He then opened an official dispute with PayPal under "item significantly not as discribed". Paypal then took the money off me and said they would automatically refund him when he sends the item back.
I had absolutly no say in the matter and i have been forced to refund him regardless of the item being faulty or not - which i still have not got back. The dispute system is obviously just a 'get out of jail free card' for anyone who decides they simply dont want the item after all (and he did bid over the odds to be fair). The whole thing has left a very bad taste in my mouth and i dont think i will ever use eBay to sell anything again.
