London 2012 'on time and budget'

Preparations for the 2012 London Games are on time and on budget, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has said.

IOC inspectors, who finished a three-day visit to London on Thursday, said the preparations were "impressive" and unaffected by the recession.

the budget has already been revamped 4 or 5 times, the original bid said 3 bill ??? i think, the total cost is now near 10 bill

they did start the project early thou and forceably moved anyone who was in the way

one think that has definatly helped them thou is the fact 60% of the construction industry is now out of work so prices will crash as they fight for contracts and squeeze suppliers.
