flatshare sites?

Need to move into a new place before the month's out - I work in aberdeen and being close to the city centre is pretty imperative - does anyone have any experience with flatshare/roomlet websites and can advise which get the best results, or which to avoid?

Gumtree seems to have a lot of activity but I only seem to be attracting 419 scammers, Flatshare.com professes to be free yet you can't reply to anyone without entering card details....

Any help/advice would be appreciated

Re: flatshare sites?

try approaching estate agents directly. they may know landlords looking to fill rooms, especially in student areas. not sure if aberdeen is the same though

Re: flatshare sites?

So far I have, other than gumtree:

www.moveflat.com
www.loot.com
www.easyroommate.com

One thing I've learnt is we should be clear - about the type of person you want living with.
