Chinook Helicopter Ride.......as a gift

Guys, I'm looking to, as a gift get a Ride in a Chinook Helicopter as a present for his 30th Birthday, but cannot find anywhere that sells it as a gift.

Does anyone know whether this is available, or will I have to sign him up to the army?

Thanks

Does it specifically have to be a chinook?

You could always buy him his own?

Chinnys are very wobbly and noisy. Any large heli will offer the same experience.

You'll struggle to get on a military one due to insurance restrictions, (legally) civvys cannot be carried.

Re: Chinook Helicopter Ride.......as a gift

The only trips I am currently aware of, are at the RAF open days, and they are normally family only.

But Its something they've always wanted.

I found this, which gives them an idea i suppose:
Take a ride in a CH-47 Chinook helicopter.

Re: Chinook Helicopter Ride.......as a gift

The Chinook....... brrrrrrrrrr

I have been on more than I care to remember but the experience is not one I miss these days

If someone offered me a 'gift' of a chinook ride I would not be amused. Might want to rethink that present... fun is not a word I would use
