Weather Stations and software

Hi guys. Just wondering if you good people out there know of any good deals on a fancy weather station ?? I love tracking lightning storms in the summer...with

Untitled Document

and it got me thinking about getting something for the garden to get live stats.

Also....does anyone know good software that allows you to view satellite photos etc?? There must be a piece of freeware that caters for weather geeks ?!

watching with interest here and hope someone mentions a mac compatible setup so I can get one for poppa

the ones at maplin are windows pc only

re: software.....I downloaded Weather Watcher Live from download.com. It is quite nice,.....but not nerdy enough really.. good for getting temperature in different locations, but I would quite like to be able to view the sattelite sequences, scroll thru them etc. maybe they aren't public access. dunno
