anyone into comics ?? DC/Batman/Ironman etc..

hi, just wondered if any members are into there comics ???

reason i ask is my bro-in-law has a load of these in a box in his garage. he says theres about 120 comics from Marvel-Ironman first editions etc and DC comics Batman.

so,does anyone have any knowledge of the comics that are 'most sought' after or rarer than the other.

are there any websites/forums he could look on ??

how would you get these valued and by whom ???

Thanks to anyone who looks at this

First off you need to know the condition, collectors are pedantic about condition and if you're selling online need to know how to tell what the condition is - this plays a huge part on the value.

You get a lot of different conditions, there are Mint (MT), Near Mint (NM), Very Fine (VF) and so on.
You can find more on Condition Grades here:
ComicsPriceGuide.com - The Online Price Guide
Or
PCE - Comic Book Grading Guide

You can grade them yourself or you can send them off for professional grading:
Certified Guaranty Company, LLC - CGC Grading - Grading Scale

Once you have graded the comic on condition you want to check it against price guides (might want to do this after a self graded attempt to see if its worth sending off for grading professionally):
Nostomania - Coin and Comic Book Price Guide, Values, Collection Management, and Marketplace
ComicBookRealm.com: The Free Comic Book Price Guide & Community
ComicsPriceGuide.com - Online Comic Price Guide
GPA for CGC Comics - Daily CGC Comic Book Prices and Analysis

Or you could use the Overstreet guide:
Gemstone

Some useful sites.

You will also want to compare on ebay, Mile High Comics - Your New And Collectible Comic Book Store and Comic Collector Live - Buy, Sell, Organize Comic Books, Action Figures, Comic Art, and More

Hope this helps somewhat
