Agreed. She has raised the profile of cervical cancer screening. I just hope the age will be lowered from when screening is first done. That way more people could be saved. I bet Jack can't wait for the will to be read out.

I've never really got caught up in the whole media circus surrounding Jade's impending demise and now her death. But, as she is a mother to 2 young children, then I feel sorry for her family and hope that she does rest in peace.

I've found the media circus unavoidable every time I try and login to yahoo mail there's a new story about her. I think if OK cover the funeral that will be going to far, should be conducted in private for the boys at least that. Very sad for the family, 27 is no age your just getting started in life simply tragic.

Cant help but feeling very sad about this, to watch someone deteriorate so quickly from such a horrible disease in the glare of the public eye has been uncomfortable in many ways but also a big eye opener to a lot of people.

Must admit i've never been a fan of Ms Goody but I am quite strangely choked up about it all now she has gone, seeing such bravery has been quite inspirational and its quite ironic that now it seems she will get the love and attention in death that she always quite obviously craved in life.

RIP Jade, hopefully as others have said your death will not be in vain and the spotlight shone onto cervical cancer screening will help save the lives of many others.

Very sad news, nobody should have to go at 27 years old. I feel for the 2 young children who are now without a mother.

This is a very strange situation. There's a huge media circus surrounding Jade Goody's death, EVERYONE knows about it or is talking about it. But in 5-10 years' time she'll probably be completely forgotten because she's not done anything of any real note.

Unless, of course, her husband or one of her kids becomes famous in their own right.

The thing that's most troubled me is how much of this income from OK etc was really about providing for the kids and how much was still about publicity. Where they've gone wrong her advisors for me is that more emphasis should have been put on donating some of this money to charities related to cancer rather than all being about building up a large inheritance for the children.

Very sad news indeed.

The media circus 'comes to town' every day in one way or another, but you don't have to go if you don't want to.

Perhaps some are jealous of the money earned and perhaps some are not quite sure of how to deal with the true reality of death, especially when you get reminded every day of how mortal we are with a story like this.

People suffering 'on the news' can just be 'switched off' usually and the cases just go away in a day or so as if they never happened. Not in this case.

Wars for example are heavily funded, medical research by comparison is not.
This story brought a lot of truths home, which may help a great many others in the long run.

On a side note interesting to see how many famous people have died aged 27 Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix & Brian Jones. I don't think Jade will be forgotten personally rather poignant passing away on Mother's day.

Not the **** she got married to, he prolly rubbing his hands together.

Hopefully he wont get anything other than a lengthy prison term.

I mean, married a fairly well off women thats dying, he wont have to deal with her kids because their dad is having em.

What a turn around. I couldn't stand the woman when she was on BB, now I find her very brave and a decent person for setting her kids up for life

She's brought Cervical Cancer to the attention of many young women and probably saved many lives.

The ones that get tested and are diagnosed in time probably wont forget her.

Some unsavoury things have been said about Ms Goody on this forum over the past few months, including some from myself. But in the cold light of day she was still a young mother of 27 who's years with her growing family have been tragically cut short by this terrible disease.

I have never liked what she stood for (by which I mean the "celebrity" status afforded the talentless, ignorant BB types), and probably never will, I won't deny it.

I do feel bad that her kids won't see her open her Mother's Day cards this morning, and my thoughts are with them.
