Boiler - Halstead Ace High

Please advise me, my boiler both heating & water seems to have a mind of its own,, it chooses to come on when it feels like it.
To make it come on i have to switch mains off and on and then and i mean sometimes it lights up and works.
The pressure is fine and remains as 1 bar.
When its working both pump and fan is humming away loverly, then for no reason a few hours later it just stops. Sometimes i can switch off and on and get it back on but most of the time it just needs a day or so to want to have another play

In addition - when i manage to get it to have a go it dosnt always go all the way, eg pump goes for say 20 seconds and stops and the fan dosnt come on at all.

Any idea's

Shaun

Re: Boiler - Halstead Ace High

I'm no expert but is there not a thermostat fitted? So once it get's up to temp, it turns off and then comes back on when it cools slightly?

Also perhaps the thermostat is faulty and thinking it is hot when it isn't.

Re: Boiler - Halstead Ace High

First off, 1 bar doesn't sound very high, AFAIK, and I'm not expert BTW, 1 bar is MINIMUM, mine's set to 1.5...

Secondly, better to ask here at a plumbing forum...
Knowledgeable bunch of people there...
