Quidco and Play.com ??

I signed up for Quidco early last month when I decided it's a no brainer getting 5% + cash back on purchases from places like Play, Hut and Lovefilm. I wish I had thought of it earlier due to constantly buying Blu-Ray discs.

I've got a question regarding Play though, why is it purchases from TheHut are validated pretty much instantly and yet all my buys from Play are still at the "tracked" stage even though some orders were placed on the 2nd of Feb?

Are these Play orders ever going to get validated, does it usually take months?

Re: Quidco and Play.com ??

Play are one of the fastest Quidco merchants at paying out, so I wouldn't worry about the speed of transaction status going from tracked to validated as the speed of it going from tracked to paid is very good

Different companies take different times, some up to 3 months.

I've just got my first payout today actually, about £15 exciting stuff!

Play can take a while, but also check out HMV, as Play have got bigger sometimes they are the same price as HMV, and you get more cashback with HMV, only about 1%, but it all adds up.

See it as a long term project. Set a minimum payout amount (remember they take £5 admin each year) then forget about it. You only need to check things are tracked

Find DVD - Compare DVD prices from dozens of UK retailers - a DVD/BD price checker (and you can set price alerts) that many of us at the bargains forums use .. just don't click straight through to the particular retailer's item page if you intend to use Quidco

I have had things, tracked then validated then refused, always seem to be the large amounts but when I have raised a ticket I have either been paid or they have moved back to validated.

I find they take about 3 months but are pretty reliable.

HMV are a pest - I find that they all validate but so far only about 50% of them have paid out. I have about 4 stuck at validated, dating back to June 2008.

HMV also have this annoying feature where they start with a marker of £0.00 - sometimes it gets stuck there and goes through the whole validation, received and paid - all at £0.00!

Cheers,

Nigel

Re: Quidco and Play.com ??

I've just had a look at my Quidco account again, and noticed that some Play orders placed in Feb are still at the tracked stage with a payment date of April. It's April now, so why haven't these transactions reached the validated stage/paid?

Also does it make any difference at all if you have the minimum payment at £0.00, how does that setting effect payments, do they just payout when a transactions reaches validated?
