Last few weeks everytime I tried to log into facebook I have to click on forgot password because it wont let me in everytime I change the password. I thought nothing of it but the other day my profile was changed saying my fave book was the beano, im on facebook looking for dating and into guys .
Shoulw I be worried they might find out my passwords for my e-mails and personel info and what should I do now?
I have changed password but as I have said everytime I try to log back into facebook it wont let me and I have to click on forgot password so that I can reset the password.

if you have to keep resetting password either someone is intercepting your passwords or knows your security answers.
id suggest changing all your passwords starting with your email password on a safe computer. after you have changed all passwords do a virus scan on your computer

I have done a virus scan and it came back clean just had the normal spyware which I got rid of. My msn is fine although changed the password and forums seems ok too. My facebook profile was changed so they must have logged into that ok, my fault for ticking the remember me box so didnt have to keep putting password in etc.

This happened to my friend very recently actually...
My friend had a security question (favourite pets name) and her ex was able to figure it out because my friends sister had a picture of said pet in her albums. He'd hacked into her facebook easily because he'd managed to hack into the email address attached to it (hotmail!).
In the end, he had her hotmail and facebook accounts under sole control and wrote some unsavoury things to friends and family. Put it this way, it wasn't pretty...
Since then, ive removed my hotmail address as the fb linked account and now use my work email. This is because any facebook password changes need to be verified via email first.
So, my recommendation is to try and change your linked email address to a medium which cannot be hacked (hotmail is easy i hear).

I have purchased things and kepy my e-mail receipts I guess they can get my bank details etc then.
I have different passwords for e-mails and other forums if that helps. Should I delete my facebook account and should I contact facebook?
I only have hotmail as my e-mail address.

if you want to keep using facebook change your security questions, if you dont want to use facebook any more then change your security questions AND cancel your account.

I changed my security questioun but still have to keep resetting my password. I think I might use my friends email address just to confirm the facebook e-mail see if that works. Will ask him if he will do that for me when I go work later as I trust him and I dont have anything on facebook that I shoudn't.

I answer my security questions different to what folks could pick up in convo eg mothers maiden name etc and believe that is safer so just any answer but not the actual obvious one more like a nickname IYKWIM?
