Re: Lifelike animation heralds new era for computer games

Is this for real?? Looks an April fools joke to me as she doesn't look animated and I've never seen anything close to this in CGI........seems too big a leap

So if it is real, the developers will be happy with my response!

That is for real. Though I'm pretty sure that it's only Emily's face that has been rendered and superimposed on the actresses' body.

Re: Lifelike animation heralds new era for computer games

Why does the wireframe etc only cover part of her face?
That just makes it look like they've added that on over the top
Makes me think the same at The Force.

Oh aye I must have missed that, unless you put it in on the edit after my post?

Regardless, the facial expressions etc are one of the hardest parts, the body should be quite easy to do in comparison, so it's still impressive.

Re: Lifelike animation heralds new era for computer games

Yep that is still an impressive piece of rendering and animation. I remember seeing this last year while they were in the final stages of 'Emily' and it showed their previous attempts at trying to get her eyes to look realistic. There must have been a hell of alot of work involved in that.

Their client list and portfolio is pretty impressive too !

Fairly impressive but the eyes are a dead giveaway that it is computer generated.
