Get your "hobby / passion / stuff not posted elsewhere" out for the lads

I love these threads - make me realise why people watch all them house shows and the like on the TV

Im nosey and love to see all the setups and things areound here (even the subwoofer one I find interesting !)

Anyway - inspired by me having almost moved my graphic novel collection across from my Mums (photos will follow) I thought I would see what this thread generates

So get you

Mountain Bikes
Koi Carp
Classic Cars
Classic Novels
Goldfish
Pipecleaners
Coins
etc
etc
etc.......

Out

Re: Get your "hobby / passion / stuff not posted elsewhere" out for the lads

I've got several hobbies, and not enough time:

Racing RC cars and building and flying RC planes.
Racing slot cars.
Building scale models - military and cars.
Repairing antique clocks - now a part time business.

Several collections:

Clocks and watches - at least 70 of each.
Ferrari F40 models - at least 60.
Slot cars - over 120.

My Harley Davidson, and my Roland TD-20 VDrums.....

I do have others of course, old computers, watches etc etc but those above (as well as being my personal work equipment) are my favourites....

You guys will love this

As much as I love football (liverpool) cars and gadgets, I'm a proper girl at heart....my true passion is fashion....all fashion, haute couture, designers like Chanel, Yves St Laurent and Balenciaga, the photographers like David Bailey and Richard Avedon, even the models, the lot. I collect books about it, photos, watch programmes - the recent style series on BBC4 was fantastic.

So there you go....I bet its a unique hobby in this thread!!

Films are my first passion.

However completely unrelated to this forum, I'm into a spot of occasional fishing and when I've got the time and in the right mood i love to paint fantasy miniatures (ie the Warhammer Games Workshop stuff). Nerd moi??

Well I would ask the "willy waving" is kept to a minimum and if any does appear its pruned rather than dug up and disposed of (my latest hobby is gardening, thats a fact)

What do you do with the old computers - as mentioned in a seperate thread I would love to get all my Commodore machines back out of parents attic and have a "shrine" to my youth

edit

Actually just seen your commodore machines in a seperate thread - have something very similar (although no box for my c64) but do have my c128 still in its box

Oohh - Pics please!

I had a 1571 and C128 back in the day - cracking machine. Wasn't it "hold the commodore key to boot up into C64 mode?"

My favourite hobby is looking at pics of KF's wonderful wildlife reserve .

One passion of mine was music production, but I just don't have the time these days for it - nor the room for a hardware based studio ! I'm gonna find the time this year to get back into it though. Somehow.

I hear you, I want to get into the composing side of things, like classical types music for film soundtracks.

My dogs and agility, do loads of obedience training before they start the fun stuff so that they are safe to be out and about and this is ongoing all their lives so time spent every day. More (very much so) recently photography and not surprisingly taking photo's of my dogs...... I am getting better though and starting with other things too! I'm looking forward to the new season so I can practice on other peoples dogs, unfortunately my dog nobbled himself yesterday so our first show of this year on saturday looks doubtful

Love the Roland kits - they all sound superb - I think they are streets ahead of the comparable Yamaha kit. How long have you been drumming?

What do you think of the H-D V-Rod?

My brother's got 3 Harleys, 2 of which he's completely rebuilt himself - he used to own a custom shop in London.
He bought a V-Rod a couple of years ago, but sold it after a few months - said it wasn't like a classic Harley - too modern and too good!
