items stolen from parcell

i recently bidded on the famous action site and won a camera, in total i paid £72. i was out went is was ment to be derlivered, so i went to pick it up at the weekend

i dont know if i should mention who the derlivery service was with but if you want to know just ask

i signed for the parcell and while walking out the door i thought the package felt rather light, so i opened it

looked inside the parcel and the box which was inside had been cut opened

looking inside i saw the camera, and charger was missing. so went straight back inside with out leaving the premisis.

after talking to the supervisor and him saying there is nothing they could do he signed a piece of paper stating that the camera was missing from the box
but he said i had to contact the seller.

so i have done, the seller seems genuine and has good feedback, buy the way its a company on ebay and they do sell on other sites like amazon etc.

we have forward emails and spoke on the phone, and he says the packaged weighted 1.65kg's when he gave it to the derlivery company, and i know from holding it, it does not weight that much.

so the seller has said to me that he has spoke to the derlivery company, and they have said there is nothing they can do as i left the premesis with the package, (which i didn't!!) and it is out of there hands.

the seller said that he will try again but if they desmis it again he will call the police, which i completely agree with.

but were do i stand, do i just keep the half empty box, do i get any refund, should i tell ebay and paypal. has this happened to any of you if so please give me some advice.

thanks charlie

Charlie, that was a difficult read, perhaps you could use a spellchecker, more people would be inclined to read the complete post instead of giving up half way through.
