Panasonic cuts 15,000 jobs

BBC NEWS | Business | Panasonic set to cut 15,000 jobs

I did my share; bought a plasma a few months ago and a BD player a few weeks ago.

massive oversupply of electrical goods at the moment, expect all electronics firms to slash production. Expect prices to rocket with the weak pound and restricted supply. Get them bargins whilst there still about.

Or just be satisfied with what you've got for a couple of years

Then buy a new one if you need it, but lots of people are buying stuff just because it's a bargain and they are bored with their current gear. If people refuse to pay the higher prices, surely they'll have to do something about it, or go under.
