Wall mounted answerphone with headset socket ?

I am looking for a landline (corded) telephone that incorporates an answering machine and a headphone socket and is wall mountable.
Such a combination seems not to exist
There are plenty without the answering machine built in.
There are phones like the BT Paragon 550 and 650 - but they cannot be wall mounted.
I am surprised that nobody markets a phone with this combination of features.
I found more than one in the USA (won't be approved for use with a BT line).

Example : Clarity - Corded Telephone with Digital Answering System - CLARITY-C320

and
Clarity C320 Amplified Phone with Digital Answering Machine - Clarity

(Clarity C-320, Clarity apparently being a division of Plantronics).

I do not want to take the risk of ordering one of those from this outfit (who have a very poor reputation in UK) :
CLARITY AMPLIFIED CORDED TELEPHONE WITH ANSWERING MACHINE C-320: Buylowest.co.uk

BT make a corded answerphone and DECT phone combo (Diverse 6350)- but the headset socket resides on the DECT handset - I want it on the wall mounted phone.

Having spent hours searching (and calling companies who specialise in phones) , I am wondering why my combination of desired features is apparently so rare.

Re: Wall mounted answerphone with headset socket ?

I would guess that in an era when everyone is trying to get away from wires with DECT & bluetooth, being tied to a wired headset is a rare requirement.

Try Rocom. They're a trade distributor & if they don't sell it, it probably doesn't exist.

If you can live without the handset or are willing to switch over then look at RJ11 headsets. The problem here is that there is no "standard" wiring but someone like Rocom should be able to advise.

You can also get DECT headsets that would pair with that BT Diverse but they're not cheap.

Thanks for flagging up Rocom - they didn't appear in any of my searches.
(I was looking ar RJ11 headsets in the main anyway. )

So you want a call centre type headset or be able to use a sort of pc headset?

Panasonic phones have headset/phone sockets I believe.

Re: Wall mounted answerphone with headset socket ?

Any kind of headset with microphone (I already have a 2 x 3.5 mm jack PC one but 2.5 mm or RJ11 would also be fine); some of the time this will be used when I am hosting WEbEx webinars where the audio part comes from myself and/or a remote presenter and the video part is via the internet (i.e. from a WEbEx server) or similar Cisco Meeting Place events.
I have not located a Panasonic corded phone that can be wall mounted and incorporates an answering machine.

How about a VoIP phone if you are going to use it with Webex / Cisco Meeting Place, like a Polycom - They make pretty decent VoIP phones and have answerphones built in and can be wall mounted as far as I am aware and can be used with headsets.

Re: Wall mounted answerphone with headset socket ?

Interesting thought.
One with landline facilites included might be viable.
I'll take a look at these.
