No real surprise as they are effectively the same company. Likely to share the same server. Must be doing some serious revamping / updating.

I wonder what sort of revamp they are doing. Should be interesting though. I hope they drop some prices when they are at it.

.....and some serious repricing no doubt!!

Edit As Scream Zone - virtually coposted - no I think they will increase overall. Dont forget their marketing men will be doing a fairly complex margin/volume/per unit/per outlet/ per supplier/per pay now pay later provision calculation to fit with their expected monthly cash flows and profitability targets.

Add to this that for 65% of their business that is within the UK the cost of the kit to them is going up as the pound gets weaker.

Re: Dixons/Currys/PCWorld websites currently down

Gets Worse...

So where does "Joe Public" go now to get his electrical / electronic kit? - Comet? (watch this space - next to go?)

Oh well Tescos.....?

But I cringe. I always have a look while the other half is shopping at the LCD's and ....anything electronic or likewise accessories, in the hope of getting a bargain which occasionally I do. But the number of people who in my 10 mins browsing, who come in look for 20 secs each at the range and match size with price and buy (forget the performance) is incredible. If we have an Internet orientated society then it does not say it round here. Nor are they oldies- far from it my estimate. They could buy better for less on-line with a better warranty

All 3 of them websites normally go down at the same time, it usually happens in the early hours of the morning though.
