Question Item sent in working order arrived with dent in box and has a few operational faults

Hiya,

Just wondering if you know about post and insurance?

I bought a pre-amp/processor from the USA (second hand) it was advertised as excellent working order, it arrived with a big dent in the packaging cardboard box, luckly it was packed really well and the pre/pro looked fine.

However, in plugging it in, there are some sound ballance and quality issues, which I'm assured were working correctly when it left the USA.

Do you know if I can claim compensation from the postal insurance I paid, or what I need to do to find out more?

The company I bought it from is pretty sure that non visible faults are not covered Am I stuck?

Many thanks for your time, and any thoughts,

Cheers
DC
