Creepy Christ Statue

BBC NEWS | England | Sussex | Church removes 'scary crucifix'

Looks like a Zombie from Quake. Or one of the charred corpses being jolted by electricity from Half-Life 2.

BRR!

Quote from the link:

"The Reverend Ewen Souter said the 10ft crucifix was "a horrifying depiction of pain and suffering"

err, wasn't that the whole point of the crucifixion/resurrection? That JC suffered enormously to save mankind? Or now is there a new 21st Century politically correct and 'child safe' version of the birth of Christianity?

JC saved mankind by being a good bloke and not suffering at all, really. A neat trick.

Exclamation Re: Creepy Christ Statue

Hi,

Personally-speaking, I found that statue of Christ not remotely disturbing or distasteful! I don't see what the fuss is about, to be honest. There must be some very weak-minded people in Broadbridge Heath, if they think this is creepy. This is much creepier!

Yeah, the weak minded people are known as children around Broadbridge Heath.
