Anyone hitting the sales after xmas???

I know were in a credit crunch but i am a sucker for sales and ususally buy some tosh every post xmas sale time even though the shops are heaving. I think its the thought that loads of people are getting a bargain on something and im missing out!

Clothes are the worst purchases for me, i usually buy some tosh that i probably wouldnt even look at if it didnt have 70% off

Any of you guys hitting the sales? What are you looking out for, maybe you can post on here if you bag yourself a bargain that you wish to recommend or gloat about!

Re: Anyone hitting the sales after xmas???

I will be, if there is anything worthwhile. I tend to get alot of vouchers and cash for christmas instead of presents.

I usually blow it all in HMV

Re: Anyone hitting the sales after xmas???

In theory I shouldn't do as I've just spent out on a Christmas present to myself (B&W Zeppelin)......however in reality I'm a sucker for a discount sticker and the thought of a bargain so I'll no doubt succumb.

I'll let you know!

Definitely not, and it really hacks me off that all the adverts on telly will start tomorrow - couldn't we at least have one day off?

Won't be hitting the sales I've already got everything I want. Though if an iPod touch is cheap I may get one as my current iPod is on it's last few songs I feel

Oh it does....and I think the neighbours love it too

I've only had it a week and I'm so pleased with it that if I could've fitted it in my car then it would be coming down to Bournemouth with me today!

You're providing students with that lot? I hope you charge through the roof rent lol. I've had to provide my own tv's for my house, a 26" CRT for living room and a 26" LCD HDtv for myself in my room

As a student renting, I can assure you besides basic furniture and kitchen appliances you really are not expected to put in LCD TVs, though I am sure any potential tenants would not want to discourage you

Hope you will have the appropriate content insurance

I have 8 houses on rent now this will be by 9th, I will be gutting the house so it would be easyier for me to put them into the wall nracket) and this would minimise holes/stupid shelving put up by some morons.

I already provide sky tv and bb for them. I want to set a new standard and also a set standard. They are cheap enough

I'll be hitting the sales in the hope of finding some office furniture for my 'home office', seeing as I now find myself without a job and so I'm setting up by myself.

Where do you rent these houses? lol. That's fair enough you look after them but you're not expected to do all that for them, because most students treat the place like a hole. I say most because some are decent. Just as long as you get it all insured and warn them you will charge them for damages it should be fine!

I REALLY REALLY want to hit the sales and grab loads of bargains. But i honestly can't think of anything i need (except a new car soon).

I have a baby due in March so might just end up getting loads of stuff for that.

To answer the question I will be waiting until after xmas. Gave away a bunch of clothes to charity shops that I have outgrown. And to be boring I want an external backup for videos on the mac

I'm in the bd7 area ( University) BB is only £5 a month. I dont offer 50 meg only 2 meg but if your not leeching its fine for all your emails chat etc.

Sky tv is minimum package the £17 a month. I got it at a cracking rate for all the hoiuses i simply could not refuse. tellys are ten a penny now so i thought since i am gutting the house i will "srew" one into the wall hence no holes by the tenants.

I think I'm going to treat myself to a new pair of speakers.. Looking forward to my day spent in Superfi in Camdon on Monday. I'm sure they won't see it like that that, once I've got them to demo about 30 pairs of speakers!
