Have a read of this and have a chuckle.

Incidentally, a Liverpool Councillor has recently wound up Wirralians by saying they should do away with the county of Merseyside and become part of Wirral (well, they wasted no time in jumping on the Capital Of Culture bandwagon). After reading this, though, he might change his mind - Wirral reamins, sadly, a humour-free zone and has little to offer the great city, better they stay on their own.

I just thought it was an amusing story. The fella who reported it was back in there yesterday to get some cash for an interview. Cheeky blighter; that'll be on top of the money he got from the Daily Mail for selling the story.

didn't read through all of your link... only got as far as "and a scally in a hoodie"... now this was Birkenhead and the wirral we were reading about so... surely it should have said: "And a SMACKHEAD in a hoodie"

Ned, what you have seen is pretty indicative. The other half of Wirral consists of inverted snobs who hate Liverpool.

Generalising, yes...but not much.
