Thanks: Gave 191, Got 147 | To those of you working Christmas Day ....
Happy Christmas
Ill be working again this Christmas Day. Nights this year so finish as 0700 on the 25th and back in again at 2300 that night
I dont mind to be honest and actually quite looking forward to appreciating a quiet Christmas Day either sleeping or watching a bit of TV on my todd without having to worry about which who we have dinner with and who we see when.
The only thing that does annoy me though is that every year those of us that HAVE to work Christmas seem to get more and more forgotten. All these bloody emails of goodwill sent from Management who you know full well will not be seeing there office til probably January the 2nd ! id rather they not bother
So to all of you working, no matter what you do, have a good one and make of it what you can

I'd have loved to have had the option to work Christmas day. My job pays 4X the standard pay rate.

Well the good old NHS pays time and a half and has done since I started working for 'em in 1987.
Merry Christmas to all who work in essential services.

On call 24/7 for 25/26/27/28/29/30 which also includes my birthday
Hate being on-call as you can never relax. Plus the fact that yesterday we were told there is going to be 1300 redundancies in January and that no one will be receiving a payrise in 2009, added to the fact the company is stopping pension contributions!
Happy christmas eh!
Just glad I've leaving to move to oz in May

It's surprising just how many people do work on Christmas day, but then, the World doesn't stop.
Happy Christmas to those that are working, and keeping the businesses open.
