Re: Snow in Vegas

It's not the first time in recent years that Vegas has been hit by freak weather.
I happened to be on holiday in Vegas in 1999 when they had some massive floods. Interesting article below.

reviewjournal.com -- News: FLOOD HISTORY

Also came across the weather forecast phrase of '' unproductive rain ''. Apparently this is when it rains but the area it is falling on is so hot that the raindrops evaporate before it hits the ground

Re: Snow in Vegas

Yeah, this was last Wednesday afternoon until early Thursday morning. I was there with the lads, we couldn't believe it. Actually thought we would be stranded there, alas when we got up on Thursday morning it had pretty much gone and our flight was on time.

Still, I did win $200 too on the slots so not a bad trip!

Funniest thing was the traffic, everybody crawling around at 5mph, I took the boys down some side roads for some Top Gear powerslides in the snow!

Re: Snow in Vegas

First picture was taken last Thursday morning - it rained most of Wednesday night, the snowfall occurred on the Wednesday afternoon. We stopped off at the sign on the way to the airport to make the long trek home....

Second picture is a shot of the plasma in our room (nice HD service too!)
