none from either yet but I'm getting a ton from burtons, topman, routeone and EBTM advertising 50% off sales + even more if I use special discount codes.

Haven't actually bothered checking out any of them yet.

Re: 'tis the season

I just find it as practical as the assitants in the shop pestering you if you need help.

Chances are you know what you want, and know what they have.

But I guess can't blame them must be a small % that actually are swayed by an email.

Personally an email has never made me want or buy something on impulse.

The ScanShot's from Scan (duh!) are pretty tempting. Always had a soft spot for technology

Yup, Play, Amazon & photo box the biggest offenders at the moment. But that's nothing compared to the half a ton of literature I'm getting through the door from laithewaites

Re: 'tis the season

I'm not getting any spam for wine but getting plenty of emails for DVDs

Q: My first dinner party on Sunday (yes I still have my youthful looks, thank you). I need a nice bottle of red for less than £10 (). Anyone seen a nice offer? Would have to be Waitrose, M&S or Sainsbury's

Ideally something that could be drank on its own or with 'light' accompaniment to 'light' food. Not really a fan of those 'oaky' wines that go with meat etc.

Thanks

Re: 'tis the season

Everyday i have play, amazon, hmv, maplins, machine mart, ebay, 101cd and a ton of others, play seems to be the most aggressive this year, HMV's a couple of years back really peed me off, I know DVD's exist!!

Amazon is getting quite annoying as they send you an email all the time spot lighting different areas of the store so if I bought a gardening tool for mum or dad say I get emails from then on about gardening stuff, I don't CARE!!!

I've just done a few unsubscribes but obviously need to do more, I used to like it as it gave me something to do before in the early days of the net but now I don't care if i get emails or not.

RANT OFF

Liam

I've been getting quite a lot from Superfi, American Golf, Discount Golf and GAME.

Probably loads of others too, I don't tend to read them.

The regulars for me everyday are Amazon, Play, HMV, Memorybits and Boilerjuice.

Boilerjuice is the only one I haven't bought anything from yet but they are persistant.
