Wanted : Someone else's luck and good fortune.

In the last month I have:

Finished renovating my home - it burnt down a day later

Insurance found temporary accommodation for my partner and I - my car then got keyed

Got offered a promotion at work - my partner decides we need a break

Get offered a pay rise to stay in my current position - my partner moves her stuff out

Narrowly avoided being in an accident last night - stuck in traffic this morning

Have a good day at work - leave work to find someone crashed into my car so hard they pushed it into a lamp post and ruined front and back, left no details.

I'm sure there is a couple of hours left to get some more bad luck.

I'm willing to trade with someone who really doesn't like having money, a good job, a nice car and an easy going woman.

The last one is negotiable.

Mate - hopefully you're still alive & if you are & if you're healthy you've got all the luck and good fortune you need - you just don't realise it.

Totally agree with this. Heard some really sad news last night about a friend having just fond out she has MS. Single Mum with 4 kids! Thats harsh! so as long as your healthy there are always people worse off! And what more not huge amount of people have money, a good job, a nice car and an easy going woman. And even if they did it doesn't equate to happiness! Chin up mate! Life deals a crap hand sometimes, you just gotta pick yourself up and work on through to better times!

Re: Wanted : Someone else's luck and good fortune.

When i've been at my darkest, lowest points i've not really given a toss about how bad life is for other people, i've just thought about how bad my life is. You seem to be keeping it all in perspective so i applaud you for that, and i am truly sorry to hear of your bad luck. However, if you look at it from another perspective, maybe the missus burnt the house down, keyed then crashed into your car but at least you've got rid of her now! On a more serious note, I wish you all the best and remember, don't let the buggers get to you!

Re: Wanted : Someone else's luck and good fortune.

Your car will fix. If your partner has left there was something broken with your relationship so they've done you a favour in the long run. Think yourself lucky that you avoided the accident rather than got hurt in it. Traffic is bad everywhere so a traffic jam is no big deal. It sucks that your place burned down but that is also on the way to being sorted.

You'll be ok but I wish you good luck nonetheless.

Re: Wanted : Someone else's luck and good fortune.

there is always someone worse off take me for instance year started out ok shortened my mortgage term, was getting married in august then four days before the wedding i was diagnosed with mouth cancer but the irony is i have never smoked and only drank on occasions and i am only 27. so as if that wasnt bad enough already have had two major operations and they tell me i still have to have chemo and radiotherapy and both me and my wife are on the sick, her to help me out with our 3 children (3/8/9yr old boys) and to top off the bad news my wife just got a call from her works saying that they are looking to make redundancies and she is in the firing line.

all that said I cant wait to spend christmas (even if it is a tight one) with my wife, children and the rest of my family
so just remember as long as your still breathing there is a way out of even the worst times.
and needles to say there is someone worse off than me

Re: Wanted : Someone else's luck and good fortune.

a close relative has just been rushed into hospital with his suspected bone cancer having travelled to his kidneys

so I wouldn't worry to much about stuff that can be fixed.
