Depressing Golf

I had been looking forward to today for a few weeks, finally a free weekend and some friends in the same position so we planned a day of golf. Should of been great right........ but it wasn't and I just can't put my finger on it

I have always enjoyed golf but admittedly, I have not got as much time over the last 12 month's. I have always been pretty good but today was shocking.

I seemed to be constantly on the back foot and after a while my attempts to snap out of it just resulted in my tempo to be completely off... What can go so badly wrong in 10-12 month's?? More importantly, where did these bad habbits emerge from. I found the more I tried today the worse it got and I was releaved when I was back in the car driving home.

Has anyone else been through similar, is it something that fixed itself, more importantly, any tips?

Re: Depressing Golf

I am in the same boat as you mate.I have been playing for 20 years and until fairly recently,i was keen as mustard.I was 4 handicap from the age of 20 .Since then i have crept up to 6.These days i simply have little or no interest at all. When i play a new course in nice weather, i do enjoy the round but this is few and far between.Of course the less you play the more the consistancy drops thus spoiling the enjoyment.Classic catch 22 situation really but the only answer is to play more.
