Bilingual Road Signs -oops

Here in Wales road signs have to be bilingual, and councils and government organisations have translators available to give the Welsh terms to be used on the signs.

Unfortunately sometimes the reply from the translators is not checked as it should be.

This road sign in Swansea says in English

"No entry for heavy goods vehicles. Residential site only".

..........and underneath in Welsh

"I am not in the office at the moment. Please send any work to be translated".

Shows the futility of it all TBH.

99% of the Welsh have spoke nothing but English for 100's of years and now they are trying to reintroduce a dead language.

I'm all for encouraging culture, it just seems like such a waste of time.
