Ive heard a song a couple of times now and yet to find out what its called or who its by.
The lyrics i can remember are "close those curtains wide".
Its sounds a bit like the sort of thing Embrace would come out with.
Its a bit vague i know but can anyone tell me what the song is and who its by?.

After the success of the first request i need help again.
Heard a song a while back that has the lyrics "the kids all dreaming of making it whatever that means" but again i dont know what its called or who its by.
It sounds like the Arctic monkeys but i'm not 100% sure.

No-one will get this

, a song which has stuck in my head for some reason for many years but I haven't a clue who it's by.

Despite occasional googling over the years.

It was played regularly on Liverpool's Radio City autumn 1975. Band, female vocalist, main lyric I remember in the chorus...

"hey babe you put the magic in my life"

then it went on something like...

"I don't believe that you ever tried"

which doesn't add up so perhaps the lyric was

"hey babe you took the magic from my life"

Either way, i'll be impressed if anyone tracks that one down.
