Magician's Magazine

Just heads up to any conjuring fans out there... Borders Books chain are stocking "MagicSeen" magazine. I bought a copy yesterday and it was quite a nice read. The only difficulty was finding it ! It was in the teen section, rather than with hobbies/arts/theatre... Odd choice really

Re: Magician's Magazine

What kind of stuff is covered in this, does it reveal any big secrets like to what some of the "major" magicians do?
Or is it more small time trickery?

When I was younger I always wanted to do tricks, but I never really found any good ones...
Nothing to really wow people anyways.

Re: Magician's Magazine

No. It wont reveal how anything is done. But it will point you to traders that will sell you books/dvds/tricks etc

It tends to be interviews with magicians, reviews of tricks, articles on performing for people etc etc

take a look at website which tells you the type of stuff
magicseen. Europe's No.1 Magic Magazine

A great online trader - Online Magic Tricks & Illusions Store, Learn Magic & Magician Secrets with Books, DVDs, Videos, Kits & Supplies UK and The latest magic tricks and card tricks from Magicbox

good forum - The Magic Cafe Forums - The Magic Café Forum Index

My fave purchase recently was "Extreme Burn". checkout vids on youtube and reviews on forums. closest ive seen to "real magic" in a long time

the music is awful, but here is a good use of it http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=QMOdY2D79Rw. he is changing magazine clippings into bank notes. I change uk lottery entry forms into One Dollar bills along with patter about the strength of the pound. I would recommend

Reminds me of the act performed by Ursula Martinez.

I won't post any links (because it's a bit rude) but if your are interested google or youtube and you'll find it easy enough.

Cheers,

Nigel
