We all get £100k free to start off with. I've bought £1.5k RBS so I'll see how it goes.
I've gone short on the FTSE on a spread at £100 a point. I have a stop loss at 4200 so I may get savaged in a morning rally. There's no point in being conservative with fantasy money though.

What happened to the good old days. Buy Buy Buy.... Sell Sell Sell....
Spread Betting Going short is betting to go down. Stop Loss automatically closes a position if a certain marker is met (In this case if the FTSE reaches 4200) - I'm not sure how this works with spred bets, but it gave me the option so...

I'm currently 8th which doesn't sound so bad until you relise there are only 9 in the league at the moment.
Says the man who doesnt really know what stocks and shares are or how the market really works!
That's the only reason i'm on it to try find out haha, dunno how i'm first, luck, it wont last don't worry!
What's the 'At limit' and 'Stop' about, all I've been using is 'At best' but I'm thinking that can't be right and I should be using the other options? I just know that's a really stupid question
