Another, Paypal/Ebay problem.

I paid for a phone valued about £120 on Friday and emailed the seller this morning to ask when I am likely to receive it. Seller replied it was suposed to be delivered on Monday and also gives me the tracking information. Post office tracking was down so I phoned customer services who say it was delivered on Monday at 11.51. I have emailed the seller to say it definately hasnt been received and am waiting for a reply.
Downside is that if the seller decides to wash their hands as they have provided tracking information, I am stumped as Paypal will clear the payment.
Even if I request the delivery details from Royal Mail, only the seller can claim and I may have no recompense for my money. I think I look shafted by Royal Mail as the seller has definately posted.

hardly paypal or ebays fault so the titles a bit misleading

cant see how its the sellers fault either as they have posted it (something) just make sure the address sent to was correct

Was it insured? I normally pay the seller the few quid extra to get insurance as I have had alot of things go missing or busted, especially by parcelfarce

I would assume royal mail has some procedure for checking into this?

Re: Another, Paypal/Ebay problem.

RM tracking is working fine now.

I assume given the time-scales that it must have been RMSD, in which case you can view the signature online. As above, you need to verify the address with the seller which will be on the RMSD receipt. You may find a neighbour has signed & forgotten to bring it round or is assuming you were carded & is waiting for you to collect.

I believe that the receiver can also claim now but you will probably need the receipt from the seller.
