Watches - online battery purchase
Can anyone recommend a good value online shop for purchasing watch batteries, specifically cr2025 atm. One with reasonable p&p too. Only need a couple. If I bought several do they store ok, or best purchased when needed? its for a user-replaceable heart rate monitor strap.
Ebay my best bet?

Re: Watches - online battery purchase
I always go to the watch place in the town near me, they do batteries real cheap and will fit it for free there and then, saves the hassle of small screwdriver hunting around the house as I can never find them!
If you have a local small watch shop its worth checking prices there.
If not ebay is probably your next best bet, as with anything on ebay some might be good some might be not so good, can never tell I guess.

Re: Watches - online battery purchase
Your local market or shopping centre will sell them cheaply B&M or Poundstretcher and the like will also do them.
Better than waiting for them to be delivered.

Re: Watches - online battery purchase
Can get a pack of 5 off ebay for £2-50inc. May as well risk it. HRM straps eat power if you use them regularly. May as well take a punt. Original is a panasonic cr2025 165mAh. Dont know what power the ebay cheapies are.

Re: Watches - online battery purchase
I've used Batteries Plus before, and been happy with the service.

Re: Watches - online battery purchase
The panasonic ones are £1.53 each from RS Components (part # 457-4741). If you have an outlet near you it might be worth a wander down there

Re: Watches - online battery purchase
Thanks very much everyone. Ordered the Ebay cheapies. As long as each battery lasts more than a couple of months I wont grumble. . .peanuts, relatively speaking.

Re: Watches - online battery purchase
for future reference, cpc.co.uk do a 5 pack for £2.24, but p&p will be a killer unless you are ordering something else as well, so if they have an outlet near to you, best to pop round.

I always get mine from eBay but after been suckered by the really cheap deals I now make sure I get a reputable brand (Sanyo, Maxell etc).
I got a strip of 10 for my wifes watch - lasted less than a month each.
Okay I had 10 of them but it's a pain keep taking the watch apart.
Relented and bought a maxell - still same cheap price but I only got one of them - been running for a year and half now.
Cheers,
Nigel
