well its more of a philosophy and a discipline really .These guys dont believe in a God for one thing so it should appeal rather more to the atheistic amongst us, although the kharma and the rebirth parts might have them freaking out all over the place. Anyway it would appear that meditation and "dont worry about it, mate, death is only a doorway to another life" has settled this young mans previously troubled mind.

he has even become a hippie I say Go Jonny Go, and find your imperious form once again

Not quite the same, but here in France the accepted 2nd wave of treatment for an attack of shingles is a quick visit to the local faith-healer. M-I-L went down with an attack a couple of months ago and was, as happens with shingles, as miserable as sin. ( Even more than usual! ). Took the pills and potions as prescribed by her GP and a couple of weeks later, went to see her Arthritis specialist who, because the shingles was still a problem, insisted that she visit a faith healer that he recommends. She did, the faith healer waved his hands and bingo! No more shingles, very soon afterwards. Coincidence? Placebo effect? The medications finally kicking in? Who really knows, but it is generally accepted practice for shingles over here.

Good on him. I always fancied being a Bhuddist, but I didn't like the idea of coming back as a llama.
