Mobile Madness

I'm really hoping someone has an answer to this as its got me confused!

I'm on O2 and have a K800i, my wife's on Orange and has a W800i. She called me yesterday using her speed dial and ended up hearing a strange glaswegen girl talking rather than me as she expected. I had a missed call on my phone as i hadnt even answered. This happend a a few other times, some with people answering other will a strange error like tone.

It turns out that i was using the browser at the time (opera mini). So i tested it at home calling my phone from hers while i connected to bbc.co.uk. Sometimes it went to my voicemail, sometimes just silence and about every sixth call or so it went to random people. Each time that happened i spoke to them to see who they were, but they clearly couldnt hear me as they kept saying "hello", "who's there" etc.

This has got me baffled.. Who do i go to, O2 or Orange?? I'm betting they'll each blame each other. Thankfully it happens so often i can demo it.

Re: Mobile Madness

haaha that's worse than my phone which has decided to text random people in my phone book messages I've previously sent before. Even after the sent messages are deleted

Re: Mobile Madness

I have a lucky K770i. (Although it's on a contract), if SWMBO puts her PAYG sim card in she gets completely free texting and it doesn't come off my monthly usage either

As she mainly text's people we've swapped phone's now so she uses this all the time and only pays for calls

Re: Mobile Madness

Could it be that you have call forwarding set up if a call is not answered after a certain time? Normally most people have it automatically set up to forward to your voice mail, but it can be configured to forward to any number. I'd check that first.

Re: Mobile Madness

Find mates with siilar or exact phones and same networks and try sims in and out of these phones, will pin point if it's the sims or the phone at fault eg sim in other phone (same network) still doing it=sims eg orange and if not looks like the handsets, might need a reflash, sounds like some very weird corruption.
