Diappointing response to a complaint

I used this page on this site

http://www.avforums.com/sendemail.ph...Forums%20Admin.

to complain about a moderators decision.

The complaint has been ignored. No response whatsoever.

This was after inviting the moderator to explain his action and getting no response.

In between times I posted a comment on here accusing the moderator of acting like a bit of an arse. That comment disappeared. No communication why that was done.

I have every confidence that this post will be removed as well.

AVForums management have well and truly embraced the 2008 Olympics by suppressing all criticism. Perhaps they can set up a page somewhere where people can demonstrate out of view of the rest of the community, just like the Chinese regime have done.

Re: Diappointing response to a complaint

if you have a genuine complaint and you follow the appropriate steps you will get an appropriate response within an appropriate time

but if you post open critisism towards a mod, or post any abuse towards anyone, mod or not, you are going to find those posts removed, and perhaps infractions given

this is a busy site, and admins are particularly busy, which is why most issues should be resolved without taking those steps and leaving reports to admin as a last resort. admins may not necessarily respond to all complaints, depending on time or the seriousness of the issue, but they will be made aware of the issue and deal with it as they feel appropriate, so if they feel the mod was incorrect, they will deal with it in a suitable way

please consider this the last on the subject and don't post anymore threads on the subject. i've raised this issue in the mod's forum

For the interest of anyone reading, as my colleague says, we are very unlikely to react favourably to this type of post. All such matters have to be dealt with privately. For the contribution above, suffolktoon has had his ability to post on the forums withdrawn.
