An auction question (ebay)

I have used ebay a lot over the years.

I am unsure on this though:

I have some expensive DJ equiptment that I want to sell.

x2 Pioneer CDJ1000mk3 decks (£788 each)
x1 Mixer (£400)
and head phones with all leads.

Everything is in origial boxes and packaging.

But what is the best way to sell it.

All together in one big auction or an auction for each item?

Im keen to know everyones opinion on this.

Regards

Re: An auction question (ebay)

Personally I'd do each "big value" item separately and a set of small things like cables as some people might not need everything you are selling but might really want one of the items.

Then put on each that you have more items on auction and you can combine postage for example.

Re: An auction question (ebay)

I'm not sure I'd use Paypal for large amounts of money (over a couple hundred) simply because it seems so easy for them to take it back for any old reason or lie a buyer can throw.

I'd say a bank transfer or cash if you're talking thousands.

Not true.

As of the 3rd of June, ALL listings must accept Paypal.

On the basis that you'll be paying out two lots of fees I'd recommend trying all other avenues first. Not least the classifieds here.

Re: An auction question (ebay)

What I meant is that on certain items Paypal is the only way you are allowed to receive funds e.g. any mobile phone.

Did not know they were bringing that one in though.

I hope some oligarch tries to take on ebay.

I insist on min 5 feedback when I sell mobile phones.

People have to start somewhere, but 500 quid plus record decks ain't the place.

Re: An auction question (ebay)

I have bumped my add back up on here, I think I will give ebay a miss on this.

Are there any DJ's on here that can recomend a good forum to advertise them in.
