Weekend Break in London - any good hotel recommedations...£100/night

Each year me and the Mrs celebrate our wedding Anniversery with a city break, last year was York , this year its London, I have been many times before but as a general rule I have stayed in the generic Travel Lodge/Holiday Inn/Comfort Inn as only going on a **** up

Any recommedations for nice, good value hotels, looking to pay £100 a night, breakfast would be nice!

Doesn't have to be bang in the centre but nr to the Tube to get about...

Something with a bit of class would be nice, stylish, funky, modern...

I had a weekend here not too long ago http://www.novotel.com/novotel/fiche...he_hotel.shtml
A great hotel, close to the DLR for direct links into the city, outside the congestion charge if your driving to the hotel.

I am looking on the sites and lots of deals to be had, but difficult to know what is/isn't a good hotel.

I have stayed in 2/3 star that are way better than some 4 star.

Re: Weekend Break in London - any good hotel recommedations...£100/night

I went recently and stayed in some luxury apartments called So Sienna in Hammersmith. Really modern and newly reburbished. I booked it through Latedeals.com No breakfast but plenty of places nearby and you have the use off a really nice kitchen/lounge. Our apartment slept 4 - a double with en suite and a sofa bed. Also had a lovely main bathroom too. Was £135 for the night for all 4 of us, I had visions of it being a rat hole as we'd left it so late to find somewhere as so cheap but it really was lovely. And such helpful staff!

Cross reference them with Trip Advisor.

Cheers guys, more ideas welcome...

Not sure now if to go for a bargain deal like above and spend more on going out, food, beer etc - or splash out on something luxury... hmmm

Matrix,

Log on to Laterooms.com and look for the Dolphin House Serviced apartments. It used to be the Dolphin Square Hotel but has recently been refurbished.

You can have a suite (separate bedroom and lounge) for less than £100. It's a two minute walk from Pimlico tube station and ten minutes walk along the embankment from Westminster.

I've stayed there five times in the past two years and wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Have a read of the comments on trip advisor if you need convincing.

If you intend to drive, the real good bit is that after 6pm on a Friday the pay and display bays are free until 7am Monday. It is however within the congestion charging zone.

I got a 4 star, nr St Pauls, for £70/room/night, no breakfast but not fussed, and no pre-payment so I can cancel right up until the last day!

Thanks to ALL of you who replied... Now of to get some train tickets, Manchester to London, I wonder if I can get a deal with Virgin Trains

Yeah Lateroooms is where I found the So Sienna apartments too...not Latedeals as I posted earlier! Laterooms are really good!

Second that for Laterooms. I picked up the Hotel Claverley just down the road from Harrods last week for £99 - good value. Sorry I didn't post yesterday before you booked elsewhere, I was away in sunny (!) Manchester.
