NHS - Keep Well

Well today I recived a letter from the NHS addressed to my gran, And at the bottom of the envolpe it said "Keep Well" and inside was to do with quitting smoking, What is funny is that they told her she has lung cancer from smoking over a year ago and died from it over a year ago in a NHS hospital.

Irony?

Feel for you mate, very ironic yes.

This is a difficult post to respond to really.

All I can add to the effects of smoking from cancer is that my wife is a Radiographer and she treats people on a daily basis who smoke and the chances of even being considered for "radical treatment", where they try and get rid of the cancer is a lot smaller than the percentage where they do "palliative treatment", where they simply try and reduce the suffering / prolong your life.
