I was surfing youtube and came across this clip below. Although it was posted a year ago, I hadn't seen it. I am envious of anyone with a musical talent as it can evoke such emotion in those listening. (note he only picks up the guitar about 1m30secs into the clip, sorry!). I wish I had the same skillz!
If you had the talent and time to learn a new skill, what would it be and why?
By the age of seven i would be a child prodigy on piano , guitar and music composition. By 12 I would discover i had a talent for playing rugby to which I would devote al my energies , eventually becoming England's finest inside centre ever ,capable of the most amazing inside, break body swerve and foot shuffle which would bamboozle even the most determined opposition. 2 world cups , 3 successful Lions tours and 4 Grand slams would be added to my list of achievements before hanging my boots at the age of 33 and returning to the world of music.
dont want much really!
I think if I had the time I would go down the music route, always wanted to play the guitar, it has a cool factor to it. I'm a big fan of classical music, especially uptemo pieces played on an acoustic guitar.
That's a skill or talent I would love to have.

The music might not be to your taste, but this is how to play a guitar.
Fast forward to 3 minutes 20 seconds approx.
Fans of Guitar Hero 3 will know this one.
You can't get better value for money with the notes per minute ration in a Dragonforce song
EDIT: I couldn't even get through that song on the easy setting on GH3.

Woah, that first clip is !!! Like SimonH says, I would have loved to had the chance to play an instrument. the piano is my favourite and guitar next. My dad has an old Hofner lying around but I couldn't get a note from it. Music would give me the chance to express myself through emotion rather than words and make myself look an idiot. Not sure you could teach this old dog new tricks.
I know its a film but one of my fav music guitar bits! I believe it was Steve Vai and Steve Ray Vaughan. Still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up!!
Oh and I would give my left nut for that kind of talent!!

Its all on its way back in a controlled fashion and I feel pretty good about that!!
Eric Mongrain certainly does it for me - combines rhythm, melody (including loads of harmonics) and bass with a guitar played in plucked dulcimer fashion.
I've played acoustic guitar for 30 years and 5-string banjo for 5 but this beats all.
