Many guys will be dragged with their girls, a lot of them will enjoy it... just go, to be honest it's not going to be that bad, unless you're one of these people who refuses to see anything that isn't considered "cool" for your reputation or whatever just because what everyone else says.

I've gone to see plenty of films that I wouldn't see on my own and found myself to enjoy them.

What's there to lose apart from what... 2 hours of your life, if there's nothing else to do... why not?

Sex and the City is ok- in 25 minute episodes. Just go for a loo break/nacho run every half an hour and it will soon fly by

I was dragged to see "Sliding Doors" years ago, and fell asleep just after she dies....only to wake up at the end to see she didn't die...i was confused.

On a more serious note there will be tons of guys going to see it with their other halfs- I wouldnt worry about it, they'll all be there for the same reason. 2 hours of suffering for 2 minutes of pleasure .

My wife's mates are making a night of it this Saturday - there's a load of them hiring a limo, buying champagne etc, and then they're going to watch it in a cinema that allows booze. Wife is therefore gutted that we are going on holiday on Friday...

I came to the rescue though, via the 5pm website. They are doing a deal for today, tomorrow and Friday where you get a ticket to the cinema and a three course meal in a select few restaurants in Glasgow for £25 a head. So for £50 we're getting a 3-course meal in a lovely restaurant, and a night at the cinema - not bad, apart from possibly the film bit.

Maybe check 5pm's website and see if they have any offers in your area? It scored me major brownie points. Falkirk's not that far from Glasgow!

End of the day, it'll be dark, people will be looking at the screen, not oh look there's one guy in here with some girl, they won't think anything of it.

youre not going to be the only man besides its not like your going by yourself youd get funny looks buying a ticket for one just stick a bag on your head and drag your heels and make as much fuss as you can until shell never wont you to go a see another chick flick with you again problem solved or secretly buy indianna jones tickets once sex and the city starts sneak out for a "toilet break" watch indianna jones come back just before the and of sex and the city and shell probably be so emmersed in the film she'll probably not even notice you went.
