A New Bike Helmet

I have finally decided enough is enough and I am going to lose weight.

To this end I have bought myself a bike and accessories from Halfords. I got a helmet which they dropped on my head before leaving the store and declared it fit me.

Tried it on again when i got home and actually read the fitting instructions.
The problem is it doesn't seem to fit, no matter what i do to the fitting straps there is nothing to stop it slipping quite far back on my head.

The manual says if it does this then to take back to the shop. But won't all the other helmets just be the same? Is there different shapes of helmet/fittings?

It is a Bell Sport Helmet, not sure of the exact model and has some sort of dial thing on the back for adjusting the fit.

Re: A New Bike Helmet

Yeah. Any decent helmet should have a RocLoc type system which allows adjustment at the rear and keeps it in place.
Take it back and change it. Spend ages trying all types and sizes on as different ones are different shapes.
There is nothing more annoying than trying to wear an ill-fitting helmet. (or more more funny than see somone wearing one!)

Re: A New Bike Helmet

Ok, cheers, never had a bike helmet before so sort of assumed you could just adjust any helmet to fit.

I'll take it back at the weekend and see what fits.

Re: A New Bike Helmet

I think I'd feel stupid wearing a push bike helmet.
