Anyone recommend a site for trainers? (proper running ones)

I've used sportshoes.com before but everything affordable doesn't seem to be in my size.

All the other sites I've found so far the prices are on the high side, I'd rather keep it £45 or under since money is tight, I'm just after a decent cushioned shoe (neutral runner).

i can vouch for this store for excellent service and good prices

http://www.exercisedirect.co.uk/

ive used their ebay store (same name) a many times for running bits and they've been faultless every time

i'd seriously recommend trying running shoes though before you buy!!!!

Maybe have a look at Startfitness recommended by my other half. We ordered 2 pairs of shoes this week and she has ordered before with no issues. Apparently prices are more than competitive

Have you not got a runner shop near you?

Most give good advice, better than on a website.

Re: Anyone recommend a site for trainers? (proper running ones)

Thanks for the links, the startfitness one has last years designs which seem to be much better priced.

I work in central London so there isn't a shortage of dedicated shops around but the prices are all £75+ and I don't have the money right now due to an expensive week of vets and plumber bills

Have had a gait scan from a chiropractor before and didn't need any orthotics, plus the neutral shoes I've been using for a while (far too long) have been fine.

Try www.sweatshop.co.uk

They are the online of the specialist shop I have used. Nothing beats a proper assessment of your running style in a store though. Most shops do it for free- and its a big help (if your like I was and had no clue of what you were looking for).
