Woman forced to remove nipple ring at US airport

Quote:
AFP - Friday, March 28 03:41 am
LOS ANGELES (AFP) - A woman who was forced to remove her nipple rings with pliers before boarding a flight in Texas, demanded an apology Thursday and said she wants the government to investigate the incident.
"It was just total humiliation in front of people I had no earthly idea who they were," Mandi Hamlin, a 37-year-old graphic artist from Dallas, told reporters at her lawyer's office in Los Angeles.
Hamlin's attorney, Gloria Allred, said the woman "was given a pair of pliers in order to remove the rings in her nipples ... The rings had been in her nipples for many years."
Hamlin said she wanted a public apology and for the Transportation Security Administration to investigate the incident, which happened in February as she was boarding a flight from Lubbock, Texas, to Dallas.
TSA spokesman Dwayne Baird said he was unaware of the nipple ring incident.
"I'd be really curious to know what this woman had in her nipples," he said, adding that he had "never heard of any of our people having anyone remove something that sounds as small as a nipple ring."
Allred said the TSA's measure was "cruel and unnecessary."
"The last time that I checked, a nipple was not a dangerous weapon."

I must remind Woodywizz not to fly into Texas on his next US trip... his Prince Albert piercing would cause uproar! ... though I would reckon he'd only need a small pair of tweezers to remove it!

Re: Woman forced to remove nipple ring at US airport

Woody is extremely busy at the moment, but has just asked me to post the following useful advice that he himself has put together, after an extended period of trial and error, in case anyone has been aroused enough to want to investigate the joys of Prince Albert ownership...

Prince Albert Advice.

You can wear ball closure rings, circular barbells, segment rings, PA barbells, prince's wands and funky numbers such as the PA dragonfly, however the prince's wand and the dragonfly are not recommended for full time wear.
If the ball closure ring, segment ring or circular barbell that you wear is, say 16mm internal diameter and it is comfortable then stick to that i.d. when you stretch the piercing up.
If you are going for a pa barbell and you wear a 16mm i.d. ring then get the barbell at 14mm i.d. (2mm smaller than the ring). This goes for the pa dragonfly as well.
If you are going for the prince's wand then you need to note that the minimum thickness of 6mm is recommended until you get used to it.

Re: Woman forced to remove nipple ring at US airport

I cannot believe that I missed this thread where my johnson is being bandied about willy nilly...so to speak.

Just to confirm, I have no genital piercings....I had to remove them a good few years ago after an infection I caught from a woman in Belfast. She kept whispering, "I hope Calvin doesn't find out.."

What the frig! ...Believe it or not, she's still at it! ... I discovered her double life after being tipped off by Abbeygoo (cheers mate) who caught the problem early by some thorough and exhaustive self examination! ... unfortunately, another of her frequent clients, and, coincidentally, a prominent AVF member and prolific contributor to the sports forum, was not so lucky. He obviously felt that something was amiss following a "session" a while back, but his self examinations were more for self-pleasure than health conciousness! ... and alas, the problem therefore went undetected and has consequently developed into a debilitating cranial disease, whereby he has no control over the quality or content of his posts... In the interests of fellow members on here, I would like to identify the individual, but my professionalism (and his likely willingness to sue) prevents me....

... I was deeply distressed and hurt at first learning of her moonlight activity, but you know, we worked around it and it has actually enriched our lives, meaning I could revert to part-time at the bookies, resulting in me spending more quality time here on AVF!
